We're nearly one month into free agency and the Las Vegas Raiders still have needs to address along the offensive line, with right guard and right tackle being the biggest question marks.
Las Vegas will almost certainly address at least one of those two spots early in the 2024 NFL draft, but they can still look to free agency to fill one of the voids, with the Raiders having $19.7 million in effective cap space.
Bleacher Report's Matt Holder recently weighed in on what Las Vegas should do and suggested the team sign veteran guard Dalton Risner.
Risner is no doubt one of the best interior linemen left on the open market. The problem, however, is he's played only at left guard during his career, where the Raiders currently have a starter in Dylan Parham.
It's certainly not outlandish to think that an experienced player like Risner could switch sides if need be. On top of that, Parham did see 110 snaps at right guard during his rookie campaign, so there are multiple ways to make this work, although ideally you don't want to switch the position of a young player who is still developing.
With the Raiders staring down the barrel of having to start Jordan Meredith, who has just one career start under his belt, they absolutely should bring Risner in and then address right tackle in the draft.
